Congratulations Teacher Bernie!

Congratulations to our very own teacher and director, Bernadine Occhiuzzo, who was honored with the "Innovative Leadership Excellence Award" at the Montgomery County Early Care and Education Excellence Awards!

This recognition celebrates her compassion, creativity, and dedication to our school community. We are so proud of her and grateful to have her leading our little learners!

Teacher Bernie taught pre-school and kindergarten in India for fifteen years prior to moving to the United States. After moving to DC, she taught three- and four-year-olds at Chevy Chase Baptist Church’s Children’s Center from 1992-2003. In 2003, Bernie became the Director and a teacher for Cedar Lane Nursery School. We are so grateful to have her strong leadership and creativity for over 20 years!
